why people create blogs

When I hear my friends say that "I have created a blog,just have a look at it",the one who told to me recently are
Abhishek (http://abhishekranjith.blogspot.com) and kaushik (http://eccentricallysimple.blogspot.com/) the things that comes to my mind are
-why these guys are creating a blog ,
-what kind of  fun can they get ,
-simply make a array of followers ,
-just time pass ,
-a new thing instead of social networking ,etc
but then in after a moment when I just browsed a bit about blogs , I really found a strange truth.
In just having a blog you are there able to express something that the whole world can access and comment their views, It brings a pleasure of your creation , a satisfaction.
Because of these advantages blogging becomes a new dimension to our internet experience.
And just for above reasons I too created a blog named DOODLE@BLOG
with url as http://doodle-urheart.blogspot.com/.
The reason behind having the name doodle was very simple and obvious for me as I was always interested in
art works and I always had a habit of doodling something in the paper around me.
I am strong believer of visual media and fact that a picture can convey a lot than swarm of words,phrases,sentence,etc.
I started all with a hope of good will .....let me find how this new thing can have a impact.................
